Introduction and Examples

I have no clue if I'll ever update this blog again, but for the moment, I'm going to do what every self-righteous person with access to the interwebz does in this day and age.  I'm going to start an indignant blog.

Don't get me wrong, for the most part, I find the Google Doodles cute, but lately, there seems to have been a trend of disturbingly vague Doodles, so frustratingly long of a stretch, that it's a wonder why Google bothered in the first place.

Take a look at today's Doodle, why don't you?

While being a rather pretty collection of rocks and artifacts, at the end of the day, it's still just a pile of rocks and artifacts.  (Or artwork, forgive my faux pas)

Thank you Google, for bringing our attention to the 125th birthday of Constantin Brancusi, his sculptures are quite beautiful, but when you have an anniversary that is in no way, shape or form possible to turn into the letters G-o-o-g-l-e, why bother?  Your own logo is just as fine.

Anyways, in the future, if I find a Google Doodle I love (and there have been plenty, see the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea one from last week: http://www.google.com/logos/verne_hd.html ), I will of course highlight it here as well.

In fact, if I really do keep up with this thing, maybe I'll just say my piece on each day's Doodle.  This could be fun?
